WHO WE ARE

The Cultural Association Capodanno Celtico - ONLUS - is born in a fertile cultural ground of a land which is a mix of dialects, linguistic and musical heritages, strong traditions and small and big histories.

Since many years, the Association is working with the intent to promote, by means of several cultural activities, the rediscover of a still not well known part of the political and cultural history of the town of Milan. In the middle of Lombardy, the Association goes back on an ancient road, from the protohistory of the first Celtic allocations, to the mysterious rituals of the druids, and runs along the powerful sound of the bodran and the carnix to the rythm of the Celtic folk of Lombardy, to the folkloristic dances and to the appeal of the arts and activities.

The engagement historical, archaeological and cultural shows itself throughout the entire year by organizing thematic conferences in collaboration with public and privates, like the Civic Planetarium of Milan, the A.I.A. (Archaeological Italian Association) and others Institutes of Research.

Moreover, the activity of the Association in musical field is focused on the recovery and rediscovery of the Celtic music heritage, with the maintaining of traditional and contemporary folk exhibitions of Lombardy, with the organization of folk festivals and with the cultural interactions with several national and international reviews.
