WHO WE ARE

The Cultural Association Celtic New Year - ONLUS - was established in a fertile cultural soil of a land that's a interlacing of dialects, linguistic, cultural and musical heritages, of strong traditions, big and small history.
For years, operating with the intent to promote through free cultural activities, the rediscovery of part of political history and cultural city still little known. In the heart of Lombardia relive again the plots of an ancient route from protohistory of the first Celtic stattlements, from arcane rituals of druids, from the powerful sounds of bodran and carnix, winds, chased each other, up to the Celtic lombard folk rhythms, the charm of arts and crafts crossing unchanged time.
The commitment in terms informative historical, archaeological and cultural occurse throughout the year by the organization of circles of thematic conferences in collaboration with public and privates entities such as the Civic Planetarium Milan, the A.I.A. (Archaeology Italian Association) and others Research Institutes.
On the other side we try to recover and rediscover the Celtic music heritage and Lombard traditional and contemporary folk exhibitions, lectures concerts and a dense and fertile set of interactions with the main national and international reviews.

THE EVENT

The event, now in its ninth edition and entered into the circuit of major European Celtic Festivals, guide, into the timeless Castle circle, the increasingly numerous public, in an exiting journey between ancient camps, heated battles, whispers of enchanting harps, craftsmen and the most engaging entries of Celtic and national and international level folk landscape, the discovery of a heritage which is essential part of the cultural identity of Milan and Lombardia.
The success of public and its heterogeneity witnessed a widely shared desire to rediscover their roots and its linked, in our view, the choice to convey the path of knowledge in several fields of use, promoting each of them, if possible, an active participation.
